The house, built around 1905 for Grace Stevenson, is a mix of Colonial Revival and Craftsman styles. It is of wood frame construction and has a shingle and fieldstone exterior. The house is in the Wakefield Park neighborhood, the development of which began in 1886. The area was promoted as having a healthful and beautiful environment, with elegant homes and building restrictions.
